human argali sheep

This is the index page for an ongoing ethnographic research project concerning pastoralism, environment, and development in Mongolia. The research, conducted by Eric Thrift, aims to investigate the adaptive capacity of Mongolian herders and other rangeland resource users in relation to the situated and partial knowledges and practices of individual actors and collectivities.

The project makes use of ethnographic multimedia and interactive discussion tools in an effort to provide open access to project outputs and to promote participatory research methods.
