Bronze Age

The Bronze Age is considered to have begun in the Eurasian steppe region by approximately 2000 BCE. The sulphuric ore used in producing bronze was extracted with hammers from mines of varying sizes; the solid ore was heated in a fire then broken down by being cooled with water.

Among the most significant archaeological monuments pertaining to the Bronze Age are DEER STONES, SLAB GRAVES, and KEREGSUR, in addition to the thousands of PETROGLYPHS dating from this period.
