Xangai ovoo

Part of the ORXON VALLEY CULTURAL LANDSCAPE WORLD HERITAGE SITE.

This sacred mountain, located at the tip of the Xangai range, has been a place of worship since time immemorial and is one of the most famous sacred locations of Mongolia. Mongolians make offerings at the OVOO on the mountain in order to obtain good luck, good weather, health, and peace.
